Change of operating model for buyer and seller visiting Encans Quebec

To all our customers,

We are happy to finally be back at our auctions!
Listening to everyone’s concerns regarding the COVID-19 situation, we have made changes to allow a safe visit to our premises. Here are the new policies that are put forward, some of which are in development.

New directives for everyone:

  • Hand disinfection at the entrance.
  • Keep a distance of at least 2 meters from other people at all times.
  • Wearing a mask is advised and encouraged.
  • Observe respiratory etiquette.
  • Limit of 10 clients at a time.

New directives for buyers:

  • Prefered payment by contactless card.
  • Mandatory registration of a credit card for participation in our auctions.
  • Open acquisition for one week following the auction. After one week, the payment will be automatically taken from the credit card and you will receive the paid invoice by email. Please note that storage costs will be charged after one week and will be cumulative (in development).
  • 15% auction fee (to compensate for the new reality of payment method and service).
    Withdrawal of the limit of $ 100 for payment by credit card. The entirety of your invoices can be paid by Master Card or Visa credit card if you wish.
  • There will be the possibility of contactless pickup by appointment (in development).
  • Delivery at buyer’s expense (in development).

New instructions for sellers:

  • Reception of items for consignment will be through the front garage door.
  • You will be invited to place all your items for consignment with your consignment list on a table, step back and let our team sort and form the lots.
  • The insertion fee per lot will be $ 2 per lot (active from June 16, 2020), to offset the new reality of additional management.
